Made of	The leather comes from Hermann Oak Leather Co., a family-run tannery operating in St. Louis since 1881 and one of the last of its kind still working in the United States. The hides are vegetable-tanned using natural tree bark, then worked by hand to create a firm, tight-grained finish that develops richness and character over years of wear. Colors are hand-painted. The hardware is available to be cast in solid brass or white brass. Some pieces are made through the lost-wax process in New York City’s Diamond District; others are sand-cast at a family-owned foundry in Idaho. Each piece is finished in the AQ St. Louis studio to bring out the natural warmth and depth of the metal. The result is hardware with a story, real weight and material integrity.
Care for	Hardware will naturally patina over time and can be brightened using the enclosed polishing cloth. Leather should be wiped clean with a dry cloth only. Due to the handmade nature of our products, leather color and metal shape and patina may vary from piece to piece.

Shipping	Shipping charges are calculated at checkout once a delivery address is confirmed. Standard and express shipping are offered where possible. Shipping timeline will be communicated at check-out and can vary depending on product availability and our team's knitting timelines.
Returns	Each return request is considered individually, as befits one-of-a-kind pieces. Approved returns are issued as store credit for your next discovery. Return requests must be made within 5 days of the delivery date of online orders. Custom knits, collaborations and vintage items are not eligible for return.
